This was an announcement for the week by the Conciliar Archdiocese of Los Angeles:

By popular demand, St. Cyril of Jerusalem Parish in Encino will once again present its Dixieland Mass on Sunday, February 11, at the 12:00 noon Mass. This Mass was composed by Dale Jergenson, composer-in-residence, as a result of the physical and emotional devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the parish’s desire to commemorate the event. The St. Cyril’s choir and soloists under the direction of Dale Jergenson will be accompanied by a Dixieland Band of clarinet, trumpet, trombone, tuba, banjo, piano, and drums. Come early for the best selection of Mardi Gras beads! St. Cyril of Jerusalem Parish is located at 1552 Ventura Blvd., Encino, CA 91436 (Ventura Blvd. between Firmament and Haskell Avenues).
